Congreso 12no. Congreso Mundial de la ISSP en Marruecos, 2009

La International Society Sport Psychology es una organización creada en 1965 en el proceso de institucionalización de la Psicología del Deporte, El programa esta disponible en Internet e incluso en nuestra Bitácora. Organizado por la Association Marocaine de Psychologie du Sport.  Presidente del Congreso Abderrahim Baria, el Director del Congreso El  Hassane Nabli, Consejero del Congreso el Prof. John H. Salmela. Mi amigo desde 1990, nos conocimos en Belos Horizonte en ese año.

El Comité científico formado por: Dieter Hackfort, Sidonio Serpa, Judy Van Raalte, Gershon Tannenbaum, Ronnie Lidor, Athanasios Papaioannou, Abderrahim Baria y El Hassane Nabli.

Pude conocer que en este congreso el Prof. Dr. Alexander García Mas ocupará un lugar dentro de la directiva de ISSP, además con el apoyo de la Federación Española de Psicología del Deporte y dirijo mi júbilo y felicitaciones, Y lo hago con alegría porque como le señale en un mensaje reciente: "Eres el único Iberoamericano, disculpa que te incluya en Iberoamérica y no sólo en España ya que para mi tu eres un psicólogo de toda esta inmensa región. Con un extraordinario prestigio dada toda tu obra y esfuerzos por el desarrollo de la Revista Española de Psicología del Deporte junto al Prof. Jaume Cruz Feliu".

En entrevista con el Prof. Alexander García Mas me refiere:

los intereses de los psicólogos y las psicólogas del deporte de toda 
Iberoamérica, y estaré a su total disposición",

Nota de la ISSP

Alexandre Garcia-Mas is professor of Sport Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands (Majorca, Spain) and the Head of the Mateo Orfila Biomedical Research Foundation, (Majorca, Spain). He is co-director of post-graduate SP courses at the Diego Portales University (Santiago, Chili) and at the Mexico State Autonomous University (Toluca, Mexico). Since 1992 he has been the Editor-in-chief of the "Revista de Psicología del Deporte", the most important worldwide SP Journal in Spanish language, and the only non-English published SP journal indexed in the ISI-Thomson-Reuters. Recently, Garcia-Mas has joined the Directive Board of the Iberoamerican Society of Sport Psychology where he is responsible for the relationships with other SP International organizations. According to his international experience and professional knowledge, Garcia-Mas submit his candidature to the ISSP-MC, having in mind three main points:

1. Enhancement of the relationships among the "Revista de Psicología del Deporte" and other SP journals (ex: "International Journal of Sport & Exercise"; journals published in different languages and regions) in order to promote the scientific knowledge in different parts of the World. 2. To promote the contribution of ISSP in the most important academic Post Graduate Sport Psychology courses in Spain, Center and South America. 3. To increase the relationships among ISSP and several specific Sport Psychology associations and federations, such the South American Sport Psychology Society (SOSUPE); the Iberoamerican Sport Psychology Society (SIPD); the Spanish Federation of Sport Psychology Association (FEPD); and similar associations, namely from Mexico, Chili, Brazil, Argentina, and Cuba, through the organization of ISSP satellite meetings on specific issues.
